  Greentree for Windows Web Session Descriptions:Sign-up Now!
  • Session One - FREE**:
    Introduction & Overview: This discussion will introduce users to the benefits and features of Greentree and will show them how to navigate the system. It will also introduce some basic features of the systems, such as ReadyReports.

    Manual Data Entry of Requisitions and Applicants: This discussion will cover manual data entry of Requisitions and Applicants as well as a general introduction to Filing Systems and Templates.

    **Session 1 is being offered free of charge to all customers who are current on Software Maintenance and Support (SMS).

  • Session Two:
    Applicant and Requisition Actions: This session teaches how to use the data that has been put into the system: sending letters, routing resumes, setting up interviews, hiring applicants, logging applicants to requisitions, tracking requisition expenses, etc. For each action, a discussion of Applicant and Requisition history as capured in the Details will follow. Printing letters, running search-dependent reports, and performing mass actions will also be covered.


  • Session Three:
    QuickSearch: This discussion will cover basic searching techniques including: the wild card feature, phonetic name searching, and other basic searching tips.

    PowerSearch: This discussion will demonstrate more complex and powerful searching techniques such as and/or/not, date ranges, and Detail searching. This will also include a re-introduction to search-dependent reporting.


  • Session Four:
    Greentree Administration: This discussion targets Greentree Administrators and their backups. Maintenance topics will include: Codes, Letter, Tests, Resume (Synonyms, Thesaurus, and Sections), Document Types, Template (Applicant and Requisition), Output Devices, Filing Systems, and Security Maintenance. Mass Action topics will include: Moving to a New Filing System, Mass Updating, and the Purging of Applicants and Requisitions. Concluding with an application management discussion of basic administrative functions such as: creating internal procedural documentation, ensuring data integrity, compacting shared data files, and troubleshooting options.


  • Session Five:
    Introduction to Report Writing: This discussion targets Report Librarians and their backups. Ideally Report Librarians will be detail-oriented and computer literate. Microsoft Access experience is not required but encouraged. Topics covered will include: brief relational database overview as it relates to Greentree, copying an existing query and report, add/move/remove fields, aesthetic modifications, saving and distributing to the network for all or some users.


  • Custom:
    Custom Training: This discussion will be outlined between a designated staff member and the assigned Greentree Trainer prior to the confirmation of date(s) to ensure an appropriate amount of time is allotted. This session is not to exceed three hours.
    Suggested Custom Training Topics:
    • Targeted Areas from standard five sessions: Various topics from any of the standard five sessions can be revisited as applied to the customer’s tailored system.
    • Advanced Report Writing: Advanced Report Writing builds on the skills taught in the Introduction to Report Writing session. Users will be able to modify and/or create queries and reports. Topics that can be included: formatting, basic expressions, specifying criteria and prompting for parameters, changing a report from ReadyReport to Search-Dependent (and vice-versa).
    • Applicant Self-Entry: The Greentree user discussion will include a review of Applicant Self-Entry as it pertains to the customer’s system. Commonly included topics are: Short Form vs. Long Form, Internal vs. External applications, Self-Identification and electronic Acknowledgement. Adding a Requisition that meets the requirements for posting (skillset, posting dates, status, job posting, etc.). Applying to the created Requisition via ASE. Finding the Applicant in the database, reviewing populated information and stored application. The ASE maintenance discussion will be include Global.asa editor, ASE query setup, and creating SkillSets.
    • Document Manager: This discussion will include setting up Document Types and Folders for importing documents, acquiring and attaching the document to either an existing Applicant/Requisition or a new Applicnat/Requisition record, and reviewing the records with documents attached.
