TEMPLE UNIVERSITY IMPLEMENTS IGREENTREE FOR ADJUNCT FACULTY HIRING

CAMPBELL, California – Greentree Systems today announced that Temple University of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has implemented the enterprise-level iGreentree Employment System, specifically tailored to automate adjunct faculty hiring.  The system is used in academic departments across Temple's 115-acre Main Campus in Philadelphia.

"The hiring process for our 1500-strong Adjunct Faculty presents its own unique set of challenges," reports Harry Young, Associate Vice President of Human Resources at Temple. "We need the flexibility of iGreentree to address those very specific requirements."

Continues Young, "For example, our adjunct hiring process starts with building an on-line pool of qualified candidates.  Documents needed to complete an application can come in at any time, often at the last minute.  Specifics relating to the positions being filled are defined at hire time, based on the candidate's qualifications, versus when jobs are posted.  That's why I often describe hiring adjunct faculty as ‘recruiting in reverse.'  But with our iGreentree system it works great.  We made over 1200 hires in the first few months after we went live.  It's another case of wondering how we ever put up with all that paper we used to chase."
